Dennis Kakas is the External Relations Advisor for NC State\u2019s Quantum Initiative. He also serves as a Senior Advisor for the College of Engineering and Professor of Practice in ECE.<\/p>\n
Formerly as Associate Vice Chancellor, Dennis was responsible for Centennial Campus Partnerships and associated special projects. He also directed the Institute for Next Generation IT Systems. Before joining the university, Dennis served as Division Director of Development for IBM\u2019s Networking Hardware Division.<\/p>\n
He earned his BSEE from Clemson University with graduate studies at Syracuse, NC State and UCLA. A registered engineer in New York and North Carolina, he holds eight patents with numerous awards for inventions, technical achievements and management excellence.
