Yuan Liu is an Assistant Professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering and Computer Science at North Carolina State University. He is also an affiliated faculty in Physics. He received his B.S. in physics from Tsinghua University in Beijing. He received his M.S. in electrical engineering and a Ph.D. in chemical physics from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Prior to joining NC State faculty, he was a postdoctoral researcher in the Research Laboratory of Electronics and Department of Physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston.<\/p>\n
His research interests lie at the intersection of quantum information science, theoretical chemistry and physics, and quantum engineering. Some recent topics include quantum algorithms and simulation, quantum signal processing, hybrid continuous-discrete-variable quantum information processing, algorithmic-level error-correction, and quantum sensing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":3309,"template":"","group":[39,34],"person_tag":[],"class_list":["post-3308","person","type-person","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","group-quantum-faculty","group-quantum-materials"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
