2026 Southeast Quantum Workshop: Error Correction and Mitigation

Returning to NC State this October, our annual quantum workshop invites researchers and graduate students across the Southeast to explore the future of error correction and mitigation.

Overview

Hosted by the NC State Quantum Initiative, this regional workshop in quantum computing will take place over the weekend of Oct. 9-11, 2026. It offers a unique opportunity for graduate students and researchers to expand their understanding of quantum computing while networking with regional colleagues.

This year’s theme focuses on Quantum Error Correction and Mitigation, addressing one of the most critical challenges in the field: handling noise and operational errors during quantum tasks.

Note: While the workshop is open to everyone, a background including courses in Linear Algebra and Probability will be helpful.
